A compact cord pendant that pairs a textured amber glass shade with a polished brass lampholder. The glass is rippled and uneven rather than smooth, so a lit bulb breaks into pockets of warm colour across the surface instead of showing as one flat glow. The holder has a knurled collar and a small switch on one side, and the flex above it is a twisted gold fabric cord.
Design and materials
The shade is amber glass with a worked surface texture; the lampholder and its collar are brass-finished metal. Because the shade has an open lower rim, the bulb is visible from below and the fitting reads as much as a piece of glassware as a light.
Sizes
Three shade sizes are offered, each on the same brass holder and flex. Model A is 14cm across and 18cm tall, Model B is 15.5cm by 21cm, and Model C is 17cm by 16.5cm. Each height is the whole fitting measured from the top of the brass holder to the bottom rim of the shade, so the shade itself is shorter than the figure given. Model C is the widest and shallowest of the three. The price is the same across all three.
Light and switching
The pendant takes one E27 screw-fit bulb, which is not included. A switch is built into the side of the brass holder, so the light can be turned on and off at the fitting itself. It is not dimmable. The fitting runs on 90-260V AC and is rated for a lighting area of roughly 10-15 square metres.
Installation
It is a cord-mounted pendant with 150cm of adjustable flex, so the drop can be set to suit the ceiling height and what sits below it.
