A wall light cut as a single slab of natural yellow travertine, with opal glass globes set directly into its face. There is no visible bracket, stem or hardware holding them: the globes sit half-sunk in the stone, so the fitting reads as one solid piece with light coming out of it. The travertine is left natural, with the open pores and horizontal banding the stone is known for.
Design and materials
The slab is 10cm wide and mounts flat against the wall, with the globes running in a single vertical column down its face. Each globe is opal white glass, which softens the light rather than showing a point source. Because travertine is a natural stone, the pitting and the run of the bands differ from piece to piece.
Sizes
Three sizes are offered, differing in the number of globes. The one-light version is 10cm wide and 18cm tall, the two-light version is 10cm by 28cm, and the three-light version is 10cm by 48cm. All three are the same width and depth, so they can be mixed along a wall or used singly.
Light
Lighting is by integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or fit. The light is warm white, with a rated output of 249-2000 lm and rated coverage of roughly 3-5 square metres. Power is 5W in the one-light version, 10W in the two-light and 15W in the three-light. It is not dimmable and runs on 90-260V AC.
Installation
The fitting is wall-mounted and self-contained, with the LED and its driver inside the unit and no trailing cable on show.
